Lars Apelmo utgår ofta från en frågeställning. Vad är det som gör att något fångar vår uppmärksamhet? Var går gränserna i formen och kulören mellan intressant och ointressant? Sedan kommer en rad faktorer till som i vilken skala eller storlek han har möjlighet att jobba i, var det ska visas, i vilket sammanhang han arbetar och vilken tid han har till förfogande.

Under workshopen gör Lars Apelmo en solid. En kub som bryts upp. Men till största delen var han värd i laboratoriet under veckan, för organisationen på plats. Han är samordnare och fixare tillsammans med Per Brandstedt.

Lars Apelmo often starts by asking a question: What is it that captures our attention? What, in form and colouring, separates the interesting from the uninteresting? For him, there are also many other factors involved, such as in what scale or size it is possible to work, where the work is to be shown, in what context he is doing the work, and how much time is available to him.

During the workshop Lars Apelmo modelled a solid mass – a cube that is broken up. But for the most part he acted as laboratory host during the week, representing the organisation on site. He worked together with Per Brandstedt as coordinator and general fixer.
